New Electronic Billing Solution for Utility Bills

New online bill payment service offers multiple ways to pay, including pay by text.

The City of Richfield announces the availability of a new online payment service for utility bills, starting April 24. Electronic billing allows the city to offer email or web-based billing services as a choice rather than traditional paper bills to their citizens. Bills are available for viewing or payment 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and residents will now be able to pay multiple invoices at one time. With the improved bill pay service, customers can receive and view utility bills electronically and make payments online, by phone or by text with a credit/debit card or bank account. Additionally, customers will able to securely store payment information for future use and still be able to enjoy the convenience of scheduling automatic payments.

Current utility billing customers must re-register on or after April 24 to continue receiving ebills. If you are currently enrolled in automatic payments, your settings will transfer to our new billing system. If you would like to modify your AutoPay settings, you will need to register for an account in the new system.

The City of Richfield is working with a third-party vendor, Invoice Cloud, to provide residents with the new, user friendly electronic billing service. New features include:

  • Email notifications when your bill is ready, just before the due date and when a scheduled payment is pending.
  • Pay by phone 24/7: (844) 368-3947.
  • Register online to receive notifications by text message and/or pay by text.
  • Make a one-time payment or register to gain access to all features
  • Schedule your payment for a specific date or enroll in AutoPay.
