Individuals interested in being considered for an appointment to the Richfield Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) must submit a completed application by December 19, 2018. Appointment to the HRA includes automatic appointment to the Economic Development Authority (EDA). The City Council is seeking applicants for one citizen vacancy that will exist on the HRA/EDA in January. Applicants are preferred to have the following desirable qualifications:

  • A resident of Richfield for at least five (5) years;
  • Previous service on one or more City boards and/or commissions; and
  • Knowledge and/or experience of housing and redevelopment projects.

The Mayor/Council will meet with all applicants in late December 2018 or early January 2019. The meeting is an opportunity for the Mayor/Council to have a conversation with each applicant. Appointment is effective January 8, 2019, and regular attendance at scheduled HRA and EDA meetings is expected. An applicant appointed to the HRA and EDA must resign from any other City advisory board or commission (except the Charter Commission).
