LUNDS RESIDENTIAL & RETAIL ADDITIONS - 6228 PENN AVENUE S
Lunds has presented a preliminary proposal including a 6-story residential building and additional retail space to be built in their parking lot. The existing Lunds building would remain and additional grocery store parking would be built under the apartment building. Broadway Investors plans to construct a 183-unit apartment building at 2400 66th Street West, located just west of CVS at 66th & Penn. As part of the project, Russell Avenue will be extended approximately 200 feet south to connect with 66th Street; Queen Avenue would be removed between 66th Street and 65th 1/2 Street. The Planning Commission held a public hearing on the proposal on November 26 and recommended approval of the project, while requiring that the building height be reduced from 4 stories to 3 stories along 65th 1/2 Street and allowing the height to increase to 5 stories along 66th Street. Revised plans were unanimously approved by the City Council on December 11, 2018.
NHH Properties and The Simmons Group plan to construct two 4-story apartment buildings along Richfield Parkway and 18 townhome buildings (of 4 units each) along 16th Avenue, between 63rd Street and 65th Street. The project includes a total of 218 apartment units and 72-80 for-sale townhome units. The proposal was reviewed by the Planning Commission at a public hearing on Monday, August 27. The City Council unanimously approved the proposal on September 25, 2018. A ceremonial groundbreaking event will be held on Tuesday, December 18. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2019.
LYNDALE GARDENS APARTMENTS AND LAKESIDE CONDOS
The Cornerstone Group is planning a mixed use project on the site of the former Lyndale Garden Center, just north of Lakewinds Co-op. The project consists of 104 residential units (including 30 condominiums, 8 townhomes, and 66 apartment units) spread across four buildings stretching from Richfield Lake to Lyndale Avenue, as well as additional retail/restaurant space behind Lakewinds Co-op. The development was approved by the City Council on June 26, 2018.

THE EMI - 101 66TH STREET EAST
Developer PLH & Associates plans to build a 3-story mixed-use development on the site of the former Southview Baptist Church. The approved plans include 31 residential units and approximately 6,000 square feet of retail space fronting on 66th Street. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the proposal on May 29 and the City Council approved the plans on June 26, 2018.

Morrie's Automotive Group is building a new automobile dealership for Jaguar and Land Rover on the site formerly occupied by Adler Graduate School. The City Council approved the development plans on January 23, 2018. For more information, please visit the project page.
PARTNERSHIP ACADEMY - 6500 NICOLLET AVENUE
Partnership Academy demolished the former Bremer Bank building and construction has commenced on a new K-8 school in its place, serving up to 470 students. The City Council approved the plans on July 24, 2018.
DUNKIN' - 6529 PENN AVENUE
The former CarHop/Arby's building at 6529 Penn Avenue was demolished to make way for a new Dunkin Donuts restaurant with drive-thru service. The property owner also remodeled the vacant building at 6545 Penn Avenue, along with reconfiguring the parking lot and access to the site, in hopes of attracting a new tenant. The proposal was approved by the City Council on October 24, 2017. Dunkin' opened for business in November 2018.
PLAZA 66 - 1601 66TH STREET EAST
Construction of the 10,000 square foot retail and restaurant building was completed in June 2018. The development is located on 66th Street between 16th Avenue and Richfield Parkway. Tenants include Caribou Coffee & Einstein Bagels, Jersey Mike's Subs, Orange Theory Fitness, and Taqueria La Hacienda.
HAVENWOOD OF RICHFIELD - 245 WEST 76TH STREET
Mesaba Capital Development developed an 88-unit assisted living facility on the former Richfield Public Works Garage site. Work began in July 2017 and was completed in July 2018. For more information about Havenwood of Richfield, please visit http://havenwoodsenior.com/
VILLAGE SHORES RENOVATION - 66TH STREET & LYNDALE AVENUE
E.J. Plesko & Associates renovated the mixed-use building (Richfield's first mixed use property, built in 1986) to include an additional 50 assisted-living housing units and remodeled 16,000 square feet of commercial space for the Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) Clinic. The site improvements also include a plaza/market space at the corner of Lyndale Avenue and 66th Street. The renovation project was completed in 2018.
AUDI OF RICHFIELD - 77TH STREET EAST & 14TH AVENUE
In April 2015, International Autos Group received City Council approvals to construct a new Audi dealership in the 494 / 77th Street corridor.
