Recreation Services for Individuals with Disabilities The City of Richfield is committed to providing reasonable accommodations and accessibility to all participants. We proudly offer both adaptive recreation programs and inclusion services for people with disabilities.
Adaptive Recreation The City of Richfield is a member of the four-city Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE) cooperative. AR&LE offers opportunities for people with disabilities to actively participate in recreation, leisure and community education opportunities specifically designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities in the four cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield. For more information, including the AR&LE program catalog, visit www.richfieldmn.gov/arle
Inclusion Services The City of Richfield offers inclusion services to support individuals with disabilities in all City-sponsored recreation programs. To ensure that we meet your program needs, please call our Adaptive Recreation Supervisor at 612-861-9361 when registering or prior to the start of a program.
Each participant must complete a participant profile in order to participate in AR&LE programs and to be placed on our mailing list. We require a profile to be kept up-to-date on a participant's needs and contact info. Family members, support staff or professionals wishing to be added to the electronic mailing list should e-mail that name and phone number to parksrec@BloomingtonMN.gov. An electronic copy of the current AR&LE catalog is available online at our website www.ARLEMN.org
