The City of Richfield is committed to providing reasonable accommodations and accessibility to all participants.  We proudly offer both adaptive recreation programs and inclusion services for people with disabilities.

Adaptive Recreation
The City of Richfield is a member of the four-city Adaptive Recreation & Learning Exchange (AR&LE) cooperative. AR&LE offers opportunities for people with disabilities to actively participate in recreation, leisure and community education opportunities specifically designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities in the four cities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina and Richfield. Inclusion Services
The City of Richfield offers inclusion services to support individuals with disabilities in all City-sponsored recreation programs. To ensure that we meet your program needs, please call our Adaptive Recreation Supervisor at 612-861-9361 when registering or prior to the start of a program.

Participant Profile

Each participant must complete a participant profile in order to participate in AR&LE programs and to be placed on our mailing list. We require a profile to be kept up-to-date on a participant's needs and contact info.

Professional Profile
In order for professionals to be placed on our mailing list, we require a professional profile for our files.

Adaptive Recreation Contacts

Ski/Snowboard Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are needed to teach individuals with developmental disabilities how to ski or snowboard at Hyland Hills. Program is held on Thursday evenings in January and February. Training provided. A volunteer application and background check is required.  Must be at least 16 years of age.
