Financial Assistance for Recreation Program and Facility Fees
Richfield Recreation has options to help alleviate the cost of programs and facility access for families with financial barriers. Richfield Recreation is dedicated to including everybody and committed to helping people overcome financial barriers that stand in the way of participating in recreation programs.

Fee Assistance Program       Program Application (must apply each calendar year)
Richfield Recreation’s Fee Assistance Program offers financial help for qualifying  Richfield residents to help with the cost of programs and facilities. Families must apply each calendar year to use the program. Complete the application on the back of this flyer or online at richfieldmn.gov/RecreationFeeAssistance or call Richfield Recreation at 612-861-9385. Once a family  has been approved for the program, the family will be notified and prices will adjust automatically online for programs.  For free skating, skiing, or snowshoeing, please inquire at the front desk of the facility.   • $50 credit for each family member to spend on recreation program fees or facility rentals.
  • 50% off season passes to the Richfield Outdoor Pool
  • Free snowshoe & cross-country ski rental at Wood Lake.
  • Discounts & free entry to select Wood Lake Nature Center programs & events.
  • Free open skating admission & skate rental at the Ice Arena.
  • 75% discount on Richfield Community Garden plot rental.
Richfield families must apply each calendar year to use the program. Emily Day Scholarship (for Wood Lake programs)   Application
The Emily Day Scholarship provides fee assistance to those who need it for Wood Lake Nature Center programs. For two programs a year, scholarship recipients will have portion of the program fee covered. The scholarship is named after a beloved Richfield teacher and former member of the Friends of Wood Lake Board. To apply, complete the application and submit it to Wood Lake Nature Center Manager Paul Smithson.
