Transportation Commission
The City Council created a Transportation Committee in 2002 to address several transportation issues facing the City. The Committee was only temporary until the Council decided to either terminate it or make it a permanent Commission. In April 2005, the City Council voted to make the Transportation Committee a permanent Transportation Commission. In recent years, the Council has asked the Commission to review proposed improvements to I-494, I-35W, Portland, Lyndale, and Nicollet avenues, as well as 77th, 76th, 66th and 65th streets and provide recommendations for Council consideration.
Meetings
Meetings are typically held at Richfield Municipal Center, Bartholomew room, 6700 Portland Avenue, on the first Wednesday of the month.
