Resources to Help You IMPROVE & MAINTAIN YOUR HOME

Center for Energy and Environment (612-335-5885): Home Energy Squad Enhanced visits, loan programs for home improvements, and information about energy improvement financing and rebates.

A Brush With Kindness (612-788-8169):  A volunteer-based program of Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity that paints and repairs homes for under-resourced homeowners who need assistance to do necessary work. 

H.O.M.E. (Household & Outside Maintenance for the Elderly) (952-888-5530): Provides housekeeping and indoor maintenance services, as well as outdoor maintenance services (e.g., shoveling, mowing) for a sliding scale fee based on ability to pay. See brochure here

Neighborhood Development Alliance (NeDA) (651-292-0131): Provides services to Spanish-speaking households throughout the metro area. Financial Counseling, Foreclosure Prevention Counseling, and Home Improvement loans also available. Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin County (CAP-HC) (952-933-9639): Offers services to lower-income households and individuals through outreach in:

  • Employment Counseling
  • Financial Counseling
