Lakes at Lyndale
To make the Lakes at Lyndale district Richfield's thriving urban center. Provide more housing opportunities, upgrade commercial properties and offer greater enjoyment of the natural and recreational amenities of Wood Lake and Richfield Lake. Achievement of the plan will help ensure Richfield remains the best place to live, work, learn and do business in the Twin Cities metro area.
Lakes at Lyndale Brochure
Several projects have recently been completed or proposed in the area including the redevelopment of the former Kmart at 66th and Lyndale, the redevelopment of the Woodlake retail center at 64th and Lyndale, and the redevelopment of the former Lyndale Garden Center at 64th and Lyndale.
The City of Richfield and Housing and Redevelopment Authority contracted with SEH, Inc. to develop a master plan to connect the amenities in the Lakes at Lyndale area. SEH conducted a walking tour of the area, held a public open house to garner public input relating to the area, and worked with Richfield policymakers and staff to develop a plan to improve connectivity and pedestrian access in the Lakes at Lyndale area. Documents relating to the development of the plan, as well as the final Connectivity Plan recommendations can be found below.
