The goal of Crime Prevention is to work with residents to identify problems and to collaborate on implementing solutions to prevent and reduce crime in the community. We are dedicated to developing and coordinating a variety of activities to meet the safety needs of the citizens we serve. These efforts are achieved through various community engagement and education programs which include, but are not limited to Neighborhood Crime Watch, Crime Free Multi-Housing, Citizen's Police Academy and safety presentations for adults and children. A Crime Prevention Specialist currently coordinates all programs listed below. If you require further information, please call 612-861-9845, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Please take a moment to browse through the Crime Prevention information on this site. Then remember to stay informed and aware – and always call 911 to report suspicious activity.
