Citizen Police Academy

This year's Citizen Police Academy is a free, 18-hour, 6-week course designed to give residents a working knowledge of the operations and responsibilities of the Richfield Police. It is also a great opportunity to meet Richfield’s police officers.  It begins Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, and continues every Thursday through Mar. 14, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Any person who is at least 18 years old and lives or owns a business in Richfield may attend the academy. There are no physical qualifications necessary and mandatory attendance of all sessions is NOT required. A criminal history check will be conducted on all applicants so please provide your full name and date of birth.

Deadline to register is January 10, 2024. Please note wearing masks is optional while in the Municipal Center. Richfield Police Department reserves the right to cancel classes at any time, if public health conditions should change.
