During Black History Month and throughout the year, we encourage Richfield residents to appreciate, celebrate and educate themselves about the great contributions made by African Americans to both our country and the world. With more than 400 years of African American history, it is critical to reflect on ways we can move beyond racism and systematic injustice to a society where we are all empowered and celebrated for our contributions.
