Portland Legacy Project kicks off on February 24

After being cancelled last June, the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU) is returning to Minnesota to take on the Legacy Project at Interstate 494 and Portland Avenue. Along with the cities of Richfield and Bloomington, the CNU team will provide technical support in imagining a new vision for this busy intersection.

City staff are asking residents to provide input and ideas to explore strategies to revitalize the area around Portland Ave between 77th Street and American Boulevard.  Proposed changes to the 494 interchange and planned transit improvements provide an opportunity to improve the appearance, safety, and vitality of this area.  Join the cities of Richfield & Bloomington for a Virtual Kick-Off Meeting for the CNU Portland Legacy Project on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:00 pm.  For more information and to register for the kick-off meeting, visit https://www.bloomingtonmn.gov/plan/portland-legacy.
